Driven by Greed

Mammon is a word for money in Aramaic and often used to describe wealth and the greed behind it. It is also a word used to describe one of the lords of the Hells. Some ancient curses, hexes, ill-words, and pacts cause the rise of these servants of Mammon, and any foolish enough to wish for wealth in this way quickly find that they have spelled their own doom.

Insatiable Glutton

Red hands have a distinct, insatiable desire for an object, usually gold, and they never have enough. They always desire it with a burning passion and plot to have it no matter what. They lie, persuade, coerce, and conduct disturbing plans to get their hands on what they crave.

Different Shapes

Red hands are usually with actual crimson-hued hands, as if their hands were soaked into a pool of blood. When a red hand takes a life or commits evil deeds, the blood color gets darker. Other than their terrifying hands, they usually resemble humans or other humanoids, such as tieflings.

Golden Sense

Red hands usually sense any kind of precious material around them and are drawn to it by their nature. They haunt merchants, nobles, seafarers, and any wanderer that attracts their attention.
