Noname is a Fog Warden — twenty-four, built for rage and trying to master it. She came up at Liminal House, the home for the city's orphans and its fog children, after her parents died young; her own father had been one of those fog children, a person who walked out of Vallombrosa as a child with no past to speak of. Now she's a patient at St. Viro's Respite, not for a wound anyone can see, but because her memory of the night her fiancé vanished has gone soft and grey at the edges — and she means to get it back.
Concept
A Barbarian Fog Warden working to calm her rage. Raised at Liminal House after her parents' early deaths.
Family
Her father was a fog child — one of those who appeared out of Vallombrosa as a child, memoryless, and was raised by Liminal House. He was lost to the fog he had spent his career watching. Her mother, also a Warden, declined in the years after and died at St. Viro's Respite — treated for "continued decline of mental and physical health," gone of causes the record leaves unspecified. When Noname asks what happened to either of them, she gets redirections. She followed her parents' path into Liminal House, and then into the Wardens.
What Brought Her to Viro's
Her fiancé, a fellow Fog Warden named Maruk Grommarg, disappeared under circumstances she can't fully reconstruct. Her memory of that night is foggy and unclear — and that fog is the reason she's now at St. Viro's Respite, hunting for what she's missing.

Her Fiancé's Effects
From Beyond Relief.
Noname did not sleep the night before Maruk Grommarg's rite. She walked Venturia most of it, then let herself into Strider's house in the Tiered Gardens and woke Valentro so they could go up to the Overlook together.
After the rite and the dawn breach, the garrison quartermaster found her on the apron with a worn Warden satchel and a manifest tag, and asked her to sign as next of kin. She now carries the whole of it: a patrol journal, a spare uniform, boots, a razor, a comb, four loose coins — and the ledger, the sample vial, and the mirror-lensed lantern.
She is not written anywhere in Maruk's ledger. She agreed to let Wylks Ottren keep the lantern overnight for a proper bench and a closer look.
